There are always other options

Everybody has a dream. Whether they want to be a singer or an actress. Or whether they want to be a builder or a plumber. I want to be a nurse. I love the idea of helping people overcome challenging and difficult positions in their life. It's not just the patients either. It's helping their family and friends during their pain also.

I recently applied to university in order to live out my dream. I have been told for the past two years that in order to become a nurse, uni is the only way to get there.

You may be wondering why I am writing this post. I got a rejection from one of the university's I applied for. At first I was wondering why. I felt sick to my stomach. Even though other unis had yet to reply, if one rejected me, what's to say they all wouldn't?

I didn't quite know how to react. But then I thought, I'm not the first person to ever get a university rejection, actually it's probably more common then getting an interview at all. It's an extremely hard profession to get in to.

I also had another thought (I'm full of them today), there are other options. Say all the universities rejected me? What's stopping me having a year out? I'm still young, applying next year wouldn't make a great deal of difference. I would love to go this year, but the world won't stop in order for me to be able to get in.

I could get more experience in that year. I could work in a hospital or a doctors surgery to get more experience. I could just take a year out to see what I can do the year after. Maybe I might find out it's not for me. As much as nursing is the only thing I want to do, I'll get there, if not this year, then the year after.

Never forget, there are always other options, when pursuing your dreams, whatever they may be.
If you don't get there the first time, don't give up, take another route to get there.

P.S. while writing this post, I got another university email and they've invited me to do maths and English tests and if I pass, I get an interview. You should also never be negative and always believe that good things will happen. And dreams will come true

First post - here goes nothing

Hey Guys.

I'm trying out this blogging thing now.
I don't know what kind of genre I'm going to be posting under yet.
I might just discuss anything. (Beauty, day to day life, fashion, reviews, life situations and help. ect.) anything!

I'm not sure how well this is going to go. Or if anyone will even read my blog at all and I at this moment have a maximum of 0 followers.

So over the next couple of days, I'm going to think of a few topics to discuss, and I'm hoping (fingers crossed) people will like it and let me know what they think.
