Make a list and Check it twice! -- Feel Good Friday

I really enjoyed writing and editing my Feel Good Friday post last week, so I thought I'd do another and I may make it into a regular post.

I got the inspiration for this from Louise Pentland (SprinkleOfGlitter). She has been creating a list everyday on her Facebook page about all the little things that have happened during the day that have made her happy.
I LOVE this idea so so much. I think we should appreciate what makes us happy during the day. And I think we should read it again and again so we remember to be grateful for the little things and to make us that little bit happier.

So, my list of what has made me happy today:
  1.  I realised one of my assignments was actually really easy.
  2. I tried my mash potato with a bit of mustard in. I am never usually one for trying my food in a different way, but today, I did.
  3. I had nothing to do today, so I put on my comfy clothes and lounged.
  4. I did a bit of pre online shopping before pay day tomorrow.
  5. I found lots I liked online.
  6. I listened to some old music (not really old but probably 2008ish) and it took me back to some good, old times.
  7. I am going to London tomorrow, which will actually be the day you are reading this. But I love London so that gave me a happy and exciting feeling.
  8. And lastly, I genuinely felt really happy today. It's quite easy to get out of bed and not be in the best of moods. I have those days the same as everybody else does, but today, today was a good day!
So my list of  what made me happy today is complete. And after reading it through a few times, I can actually see how amazing and wonderful my day really was.

Let me know what made you happy today. Or let me know if you try writing the list of what makes you happy on a particular day. I find these really work if you aren't having the best of days and it feels like everything is going wrong.

I Hope you have had the best Friday ever!

Feel Good Friday

Your life can be anything you want it to be. Everyday is a new day, don't be upset over yesterday, you cannot change it. But you can make your future amazing.

10 years time

This blog post is a respond to Will Darbyshire's video Twenty Two.

If you haven't seen this video yet, Will talks about 10 years from now and asks the question 'Where do you think you're going to be in 10 years time?'

That got me thinking, where am I going to be? 10 years from now, I will be almost 28 years old. I am going to university this year, meaning I would have graduated with in 10 years. I will be a qualified nurse and I would have been for 7 years by that point.

I want to have my own flat or house and live in my own space. I want to be able to buy my own things with the money that I earn. I maybe want to be in a relationship at least (probably without kids at that age.)

10 years is a long time away and it's extremely hard to think of. I tend to think of, where will I be in a year or even a few months? 6 months from now? I would have moved out and I'll be about 3 weeks into my first year at university. How many people that I know now, will I still be in contact with in 6 months? Hopefully everyone, but life doesn't always turn out the way it's planned. Will I be surviving on my own? Will I be listening to a different kind of music? I would have met new people and made new friends.

I think the point of this post is, even in a few months, everything can change. So much can be different. But change is good. You have to have confidence during change. Change is healthy and can be the best part of your life.

Take it and embrace it.
