Blogmas Day 3- Top 10 Christmas Movies
One of my favourite things about the Christmas season is watching all the Christmas movies. So here are my top 10 Christmas movies. (This isn't the exact order but it was difficult to choose.)
1. Elf
Everyone has seen this classic Christmas movie with Will Ferrel portraying Buddy the Elf. Growing up in the North Pole living an Elf style life, he soon finds out that his father in fact is human and lives in New York City, so starts the adventure to meet him. This is such a funny, magical Christmas movie.
2. Miracle on 34th Street
There are two versions of this movie, but my favourite is the newer one with Mara Wilson. Also set in New York City, with Susan always being told by her mother that Santa Clause is not real. Kris Kringle then enters their lives and they have to fight to prove that he is the real Santa with set backs along the way. This was one of my favourite movies as a child and will always give me the Christmas feeling.
3. The Santa Clause
This is an incredible movie. Tim Allen play Scott Calvin who is looking after his son on Christmas eve. After hearing someone on the roof, he knocks Santa off the roof and has to take his place and become 'the new santa'. This is so magical and I love all 3 of the movies but the first one is my favourite.
4. The Muppet Christmas Carol
WOW WOW WOW! What a movie this is! I watch this every Christmas Eve. The muppets do their take on the classic Charles Dickens story with the most wonderful music and makes some of my favourite Christmas songs. This is also one of my dad's favourites, so we enjoy watching around this time of the year.
5. Polar Express
OH BLIMEY! This is Christmas in one film. A young boy who does not believe in Santa Clause has a train arrive outside his house. He travels all the way to the North Pole along with other children who are also non-believers. He embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. Please go and watch this now if you haven't seen it before!!!
6. Home Alone
I actually watched this film not that long ago. Kevin and his enormous family are going away for the holiday season, but when Kevin feels like the least important one in the family, he wishes they would all disappear and wakes up to find out they have. While being alone, he has to protect his house no matter what the cost. I love this movie and it is definatly one I will pull out at Christmas (or any time actually.)
7. Jingle All The Way
Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a father desperate to get his son the present he has been asking for, but after searching everywhere, they are completley sold out. He has to compete with everyone else for this toy. I feel like this is a very relatable film at Christmas when you leave the shopping till the last day and have to do whatever it takes to find the present you are after.
8. Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas
This may not be to everyone's taste but I had to put it in my top 10 as I watch this every year without fail. Mickey Mouse tells 3 Christmas themed stories which puts anybody in the mood for the season.
9. The Grinch
No surpise there being one of the most popular Christmas movies. Jim Carrey portraying the green character, hates Christmas and wants to ruin for all the people of Whoville. Having been hidden for years, the Grinch leaves his moutain top home to steal everything Christmas related. But when meeting Cindy Lou Who his plan might not work as well as he thought.
10. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold wants to have a perfect family Christmas, so he pesters his wife, Ellen and children, as he tries to make sure everything is in line, including the tree and house decorations. However, things go wrong quickly when his relatives turn up. This is so funny and I remember watching it when I was young with my family so this is my final entry in my Top 10.
So that's my top 10 Christmas Movies. Let me know if you've seen any of them or what your favourites are!

Blogmas Day 1- Let the Countdown Begin
IT'S DECEMBER 1ST!!!!
This is my favourite time of the year by far. Winter is here and I am so excited to countdown to Christmas. Can you believe in 24 days it will here?
I am so excited this year not only to be counting down the days but also taking part in Blogmas which I have been planning, writing and photographing for since the beginning of October. I have a lot of excting posts coming up so keep your eye out for them. Blogmas will go up everyday at 5pm until December 25th, which then after that time I will take a well earned break from my blog until 2017.
(I can't believe I just typed 2017!)
I have never taken part in any kind of daily blog event and I thought what better way to do it then doing it at the most magical time of the year.
Wow. I just cannot believe it's December.
Let the countdown begin.

A little bit of a mish mash
Yes, it has been over a month. I'm sorry to all those judging me right now because they blog everyday, but I can explain.
So firstly, as some of you may not know, I left university in May meaning I was unemployed and had a house that I still needed to pay rent and bills on. I have been searching and searching for jobs. I went for some interviews, to which most were unsuccessful, BUT two weeks ago, I got a call back and I landed myself a job. I start tomorrow as you are reading this so I am excited to begin new adventures and see where my life goes from here.
Secondly, I didn't completely give up or forget about my blog. I have been taping my little fingers all through October and will continue to for one very important event coming up VERY soon. BLOGMAS 2016!!! I really wanted to participate in blogmas this year so that meant a lot of planning and writing months in advance. I haven't actually completed it yet so as soon as this goes up I will be photographing for a very exciting blog post which you will see at Christmas. 25 Blog posts throughout one month has been more work than I could ever imagine but it's going to be worth it, I promise.
Having a very busy October meant that I actually didn't buy anything new and also forgot to write down my October Favourites anyway. (-1 blogger point) So I am going to do a mini favourites in this blog post as I only have a few.
So my first favourite is actually a magazine. If you are a blogger you may of heard of this. It is the Blogosphere Magazine. Now this is actually my 2nd copy of the magazine and I love everything it offers but I particularly loved this issue as it featured one of my all time favourite bloggers and youtubers, Victoria Magrath also known as In The Frow. Victoria's interview gave me so much inspiration and I think every blogger needs to read it.
My second one may sound a bit strange but it's actually Vaseline. I know, Vaseline has been out since 1872 but the packaging of this is actually why I love it so much. Lulu Guinness, who is a fashion designer teamed up with the company to make a tin. I love this and I will leave a picture below so you can all love it as well.
My final favourite is fluffy socks. A good old winter classic. I brought some more from Primark the other day and you got 2 pairs for £1.70 which I thought was a bargain! I wear these all the time especially now the weather is colder and we don't have our heating switch on all the time. They do so many different ones in Primark so if you are interested go and check those out.
I know this has been a little bit of a mish mash blog post but I thought I would include it all in one go. I will maybe blog 1-2 more times this month but I do want to concentrate on blogmas as well, especially now I'll be working as well. Fingers crossed I get it finished. Santa isn't the only one with a deadline.
Until next time

September Favourites
WOW! I cannot believe today is October 1st. It's my favourite month and I can't wait to see what this month brings.
So I haven't done a favourites in FOREVER! So here I am bringing you my favourite things during September.
My first favourite of the month has been the Sleek Makeup Solstice highlighting palette. I LOVE this so much. I got this for my birthday which I had actually asked for having heard a lot of great reviews about it and it did not dissapoint. The gold packaging of this is beautiful and the highlighters are amazing and so pigmented. You get four different highlighters and I have been loving Hemisphere which is the purple shade. There is a cream highlighter, two baked and one shimmer powder and this is the perfect highlighting palette. I would highly recommend this. It is avaliable in Superdrug at £9.99.
Another makeup product I have been lovingis the Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush lip crayon in 500, The Redder, the Better. This is such a perfect red shade. Some people also find reds quite hard to apply and if thats you then this is perfect because it's so easy to use. I have actually used this mainly for nights out and it will last the whole night so I am very impressed.
I have also been using my Real Techniques beauty blender a lot this month. I only actually brought one of these during August and I am wondering why it took me so long. It is perfect for applying my foundation and I wouldn't be without it.
As you may know I moved out of my family home at the beginning of September. Me being me actually left alot of vital products behind. I needed a moisturiser and I tried a new one which I love. It is the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Day Moisturiser. I love the smell of this and it just makes my skin feel so nice. I will be repurchasing this and I would also like to try the night moisturiser. I brought this in Superdrug for £5.29 at a reduced price.
I actually have 2 film favourites of the month. The first one is The Purge series. I actually went to see The Purge: Election Year which is the lastest one out at the cinema during September. I had never seen the other 2 so I watched them and loved them both as much as the final one. The Purge is set in future America. The government have sanctioned a 12-hour period from 7pm till 7am where all crime is made legal including murder. All 3 films centre around different people and their stories during the purge. It is a bit of a thriller but I love them.
The next film is also a thriller. It's a new film out called Don't Breathe. I had seen this advertised a few times so I went to the cinema to see it and it was fantastic. Don't Breathe is about three teenage theives who are hoping to walk away with a fortune. They break into a house in which the owner is known to have a lot of money after his daughters murder. The man seems helpless as he is blind but there is more to the man then meets the eye. You are on the edge of your seat the whole way through, wondering if the three teenagers will make it out of the house alive.
I also have a book favourite this month. I borrowed this from a friend and I read it so quickly and loved it. It is Ketchup Clouds By Annabel Pitcher. This is a story about Zoe Collins who has a secret. It is written in the form of letters and she is writing to a man who is currently in prison waiting on his death sentence. She tells him her secret through letters. I loved this book and it kept me gripped right untill the end. It's full of twists and turns and right up until the end you are still unsure of what actually happened.
That is everything I loved during September.
What have you been loving?

The First Day Of Autumn
AHHHHHHHHH! I can't believe my fingers finally get to type these words, but today is the first day of Autumn.
The nights get darker, the days get colder, the leaves change colour and I couldn't be more excited. If there's anything I love it's Autumn and I feel like I have been waitng for this since the beginning of Summer.
I finally get to pull out all my jumpers and style it with a big coat and heeled boots. I get to discover all my scarves again (and probably purchase one or two along the way.) Don't even get me started on the makeup. Gold eyes (which I'm a sucker for) and berry and red lips become more acceptable. I actually already own a beautiful Autumn edition eyeshadow palette so I cannot wait to try that out.
It also means two of my favourite holiday's are approaching. Halloween and Christmas. I get to go to all the Halloween parties and dress up. Pumpkins and witches are in all the stores. Decorating the house for Halloween is my favourite thing to do. All the Halloween candles that come out as well always get me in the mood for the holiday to come. And Christmas. My favourite holiday of them all. No matter how old I get, I'm always just as excited. Presents, family, friends, food, laughter, Christmas songs and movies, Christmas lights and decorations, it's just all so exciting. Today I'm going to crack Elf out. Will Ferrel as Buddy will always make me feel all fesitive. I also need to make a purchase of Yankee Candle's Christmas Cookie because if there's a scent that reminds me of Christmas, it's that. LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!!
I also can't wait to read and write Autumn and Christmas themed posts. I've got a couple up my sleeve so keep your eye out for them. I may also *deep breath before announcing this* take part in blogmas. 24 posts, counting down to Christmas. I did try last year but I didn't end up doing it as I definatley needed to plan them more, so I will probably start writing them now.
I can't believe my favourite season has come and let's make this the best season yet!

Dear... Future Me
Dear Future Me,
You are reading this, probably as though you are reading a letter from a familiar friend.
I hope you are enjoying where life has taken you. The past couple of months have been hard but I hope you have realised that life isn't all so bad. I hope you've made it exactly to where we wanted to make it to. I hope you are loving yourself more than I ever did. I hope you remember me somewhere along your journey through life and realise how far you've come. From the girl sitting in her room writing this letter to a women, making something out of her life. I hope you've realised your path in life and are following that wholeheartedly.
Even though I do hope you have found yourself over these years, I also hope you haven't lost the incredible parts of yourself either. I hope you still sing your heart out whenever you get in the shower. I hope that you still believe that there is good in the world. I hope you still have that inability to stop laughing once you have started. I hope you still see the good in everyone, even though they aren't always good. I hope you have that bubbly personality even on the days you don't feel great. I hope you are still that strong girl who knows they can get through anything. And lastly, I hope you still love with that big heart of yours and I hope you haven't been through something that made you believe love isn't worth the effort, because as I am writing this you are more in love with someone then ever.
We went through a lot in 2016 pal, but I know you had it in you to make something of yourself. One tear down doesn't mean that it's all over, and you should know that more then anyone.
If you are reading this, because you don't think you can make it through the day, I want you to think of the moment you wrote the letter to yourself, because you've got this girl. You always have done. You always figure things out in the end. When you wrote this letter, you didn't know what the future held but now look at you. I promise you, as your past self writing this, I'm trying to do something now that you are thanking me for reading back on this.
We have a troubled past, but please don't have let that stop you progressing your future. It's not about your final destination, it's about how you got there, and I hope you did that with pride.
So Future Me, I hope you know how much you've done for my life, even if it feels as if nothing has changed, but think about youself in 2016, writing this letter. You've come so far.
From,
Past You.
-HappiestEqualsPrettiest
P.S. I think I'm going to do a blog series called 'Dear...' and do letters to different people/things maybe once a week/fortnight so keep an eye out for those.
